FIELD: fire-fighting equipment. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has hollow casing containing fire-extinguishing powder substance, gas generator and product discharge pipe with valve. Gas generator has actuating device mounted on casing upper part, initiating member, gas-generating charge, sublimating porous interlayer and tubular mixing chamber with discharge openings in its lower part. Porous interlayer is made in the form of pile of granular material and has ends covered with perforated membranes. Gas-generating charge and porous interlayer are positioned on diaphragms. Receiver is disposed between diaphragm of porous interlayer and outlet lower end. Outlet openings are made in conical cover of mixing chamber. Porous interlayer and gas-generating charge weight ratio is within the range of 1.8-3.0. Area of openings in porous interlayer diaphragm exceeds that of gas-generating charge by 4-6 times.
