FIELD: fire-extinguishing equipment, particular, powder-type fire extinguishers provided with gas generators; applicable in fire fighting for supply of fire-extinguishing powders. SUBSTANCE: the offered fire extinguisher has body accommodating powder and gas generator. Gas generator has chamber of decomposition with gas-generating charge installed in a spaced relation to walls and having holes for gas discharge and located in the lower part of fire extinguisher body. Gas generator additionally has porous body possessing flexible properties and is installed in decomposition chamber between charge and holes for gas discharge. Located in porous body is substance sublimating under the effect of high temperature and made in form of finely divided powder. In the preferred version, porous body placed in gas generator decomposition chamber is made of fibrous material. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 2 cl, 1 dwg
