FIELD: animal catching equipment. SUBSTANCE: catch has fixed actuating spring 16 with detachable safety lock 26. Spring is fixed by tension to starting mechanism 10. Trap of animal leg catch has expandable slipping loop 29. Cord of slipping loop 29 is inserted through rings 19 and 21 of spring 16 and is attached to device 22. Slipping loop 29 is manufactured from soft and strong materials, which may not be bitten by animal's teeth, and has flat portion 30 adapted for gripping animal's leg. Portion 30 has gripping device 31 which may be detached for repeated usage, and flexible stop. When arranged in predetermined position, slipping loop 29 is positioned above starting device 14 so that when animal steps on this device, spring 16 is released and rotated in slot 11 to lift slipping loop 29 along animal's leg and tighten it. Spring 16 is then separated from starting mechanism 10 to serve shock-absorbing spring for automatically releasing animals of sizes less than or of strength exceeding that of animals to be caught.
