FIELD: medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: device has two mechanically independent and electrically connected stands, one of which belongs to X-ray apparatus and the second one belongs to monitor unit. X-ray radiator and X-ray picture amplifier with arch crosspiece and control unit are put together in one stand. Devices for representing and storing information are mounted in the second stand. The arch crosspiece is manufactured from aluminum alloy and its cross-section is shaped as hollow closed contour. Geometrical parameters and mechanical characteristics of material are bound with relation useable for determining required parameter values. Method involves forming predefined profile, giving required curvature and building rolling paths for carriage rollers. The profile is formed with its cross-section composed of two rectangles, filled with sand and bent to achieve the predefined radius. The structure is hardened by applying heat treatment. L-shaped rolling paths are manufactured by cutting out the central portion of external side of one of cross- section rectangles.
