FIELD: ferrous metallurgy, particularly, smelting of ferroalloys. SUBSTANCE: charge contains, wt. %: coke 25-40; limestone 1-10; dolomite 1-8; metal additive 0-5.0; pelletized iron-ore material 0-0.6; shungite rock 0.3-3.0; the balance, manganese oxide and carbonate ore. Charge may also include wastes of metallurgical industry containing manganese and/or calcium, and/or magnesium, and/or iron in form of metals, and/or compounds in amount of 0.103.0 %. EFFECT: reduced consumption of coke, higher degree of manganese transition into metal, low-cost production of ferromagneses due to partial replacement of expensive coke with low- cost shungite rock. 2 cl
