FIELD: ferrous metallurgy; blast-furnace process; smelting foundry pig iron in blast furnaces. SUBSTANCE: charge for smelting foundry pig iron includes the following components, mas.%: coke, 24-32; iron ore, 0-35; metallic additives, 0-5.0; manganese-containing additive, 0-3.0; limestone, 1.5-5.0; dolimite, 0.5-3.0; schungite rock, 0.5-3.0; and lumpy iron ore materials, the balance; ratio of mass of silicon in schungite rock to mass of iron in iron ore and metallic additives ranges from 0.008 to 0.25. presence of iron ore in charge and metallic additives facilitates reduction of silicon and its dissolution in iron, thus reducing its cost. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency; facilitated reduction of silicon and its conversion to iron.
