FIELD: paint and varnish industry; applicable in production of fireproof and high- quality enamels. SUBSTANCE: method consists in combination of operations of mixing of components, their milling due to shearing action in binder with simultaneous friction of particles with one another at speeds of 4000-12000 rpm with increase of concentration of components up to 65-85%. Vertical paddle mixer has electric motor, cylindrical body accommodating central vertical shaft with paddles connected with shaft of electric motor. Paddles are made in form of plates 2-3 mm thick spaced crosswise in planes perpendicular to shaft axis and located over its entire height with spacing of 50-80 mm and clearance between paddle end point and internal wall of body having conical bottom.
