METHOD OF OPTICAL TEST OF SHOCK-WAVE TUBE Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

Abstract RU 2158914 C2

FIELD: inspection of quality of shock-wave tubes in process of their manufacture. SUBSTANCE: in agreement with method of optical test of shock-wave tube there is conducted irradiation of formed tube with explosive deposited on its internal surface in plane perpendicular to axis of tube in two mutually crossing directions. Light passing through shock-wave tube is scanned line by line in each direction by means of photodiode strip whose number of elements ensures required precision of measurement of outer diameter of tube with frequency equal to relation of rate of motion of tube to minimal size of flaw. Signal of photodiode strip is converted to digital form. Conversion frequency is chosen equal to doubled product of scanning frequency by number of elements of photodiode strip. Processing of digital information is distributed between signal processor and controlling computer. Signal processor in this case computes diameter and momentary value of density of deposited layer in correspondence with functional dependence established experimentally and entered into basic program and controlling computer carries out visualization and recording of data and controls technological equipment.
