FIELD: blasting operations.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of initiating charges of industrial explosives, namely to intermediate detonators intended for initiation of well and other charges of industrial explosives. Intermediate detonator comprises retainer, cylindrical or cylindrical stepped case with explosive and initiation means arranged therein. Inside the housing there may be a paper tube. Retainer represents a hollow truncated cone, on the smaller side is closed by a bottom, and on the larger side in the end face there are elastic lobes with bent ends at an angle. Along edge of retainer bottom there are two holes for arrangement of impact-wave tube or wires of electric detonator, and in the center there is an opening with stops along the edge for arrangement of cylindrical or cylindrical stepped housing. On one side the cylindrical housing is covered with a cover, on the other side it has a bottom with one or two seats for the detonating cap and a coaxially located hollow cylindrical projection with diameter exceeding the diameter of the housing with one or two slots in the wall for placement of the shock-wave tube or wires of the electric detonator. Cylindrical stepped housing on the side of stage of smaller diameter is closed by blind bottom, and on side of step of larger diameter is closed by cover with capsule seat.

EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of reliability and efficiency of industrial explosive initiation with intermediate detonator, improvement of convenience and safe handling of intermediate detonator at charging of rising wells.
