FIELD: optical information storage equipment. SUBSTANCE: pivot rod mechanism includes carrier, which carries light source, optical path alteration unit and photodetector. In addition, the mechanism has multiple pivot rods, which extend from carrier, and suspension, which another end carries sliding head, into which lens is inserted. Between base and carrier, device has support unit, which is designed as support bulge, pivoting bearing, support cone, which provides support for pivot rod mechanism with alignment with respect to one point of hinge on support. Magnetic drive mechanism, which is included into pivot rod mechanism, serves for its back-and-forth rotation and is designed as coil unit, magnet yoke unit and magnets. EFFECT: increased speed of access to information carrier, simplified design, decreased optical losses for information reading and writing. 3 cl, 5 dwg
