PROCESS AND GEAR TO RECOVER COMPONENTS SORBED IN CAPILLARY- POROUS compared with that of inner ring; heater and specimen are located in BODY Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

Abstract RU 2159152 C2

FIELD: separation technology. SUBSTANCE: invention is related specifically to recovery and separation of sorbed components, for instance, from capillary-porous bodies by means of electric field which are used in various branches of industry concerned with regeneration of filtering material in natural and technological systems. Process consists in bringing of capillary-porous body in contact with flow of ionic solution and action on body with electric D C field creating electroosmotic flow of ionic solution. Intensity of field is maintained without change of its sign within bounds from value sufficient for inertia-free electroosmotic motion of solution to value at which electrode reactions originate in the course of certain time. Solution is supplied prior to connection of electric field. Gear for implementation of process has electrodes connected to D C power supply source located in areas of opposite faces of capillary-porous body. Element ensuring constant contact of capillary-porous body with flow of ionic solution is placed on side of anode, element removing solution with recovered components present in it and going out of capillary- porous body is located on side of cathode, downstream from capillary-porous body in path of electroosmotic flow. Cathode can come in the form of hollow body whose surface has through holes, it can house element for removal of solution with recovered components going out of capillary-porous body. EFFECT: recovery of components from capillary-porous body independent of strength of their fixing. 4 cl, 2 dwg
