FIELD: chemical industry. SUBSTANCE: described is method of preparing nitrogen- containing compounds having at least one fluorine substituent in heterocyclic ring. Said method comprises reacting nitrogen-containing heterocyclic compound with gaseous elementary fluorine in the presence of at least one from chlorine, bromine, iodine or interhalogen compound. Reaction is carried out in the presence of base. Original base includes heterocyclic ring which comprises heterocyclic compound including preferably five-or six-membered heterocyclic ring which contains optional substituents such as puridine, pyrimidine, pyridazine, pyrazine, triazine, quinoline, isoquinoline, quinoxaline, quinazoline, and bipyridine.
