FIELD: computer engineering. SUBSTANCE: device may be used for input of information into personal computers and other devices, which use keyboard. Device has key and four pairs of emitters and receivers, which provide four optical axes and are located on board. First, second and third optical axes pass keys on three sides and can be optically chopped by working body, which extends over respective edge of key, when it presses button from respective side. Fourth optical axis passes through hole in key or over its working surface in parallel to first optical axis, so that fourth optical axis can be chopped by key or working body, which presses against button. This results in possibility to decrease distance of finger movement. EFFECT: facilitated use, increased speed of information input, decreased size, simplified design, decreased cost. 12 cl, 4 dwg
