FIELD: radio engineering.
SUBSTANCE: underground antenna (UA) may be used as a receiving or a transmitting antenna in a short-wave (SW) or an ultrashort-wave (USW) ranges. UA comprises a flat element (FE) in the form of orthogonal pairs of flat radiators (FR) 1, arranged in a coplanar manner within a semiconducting environment (SCE) with macroscopic parameters εr1 and σ1. External ends of the FR 1 are electrically connected with the help of shorting short circuit conductors 2. Adjacent ends of each pair of the FR 1 with the help of sections of a coaxial cable are connected to feeder tracks. In the SCE there is a pit arranged, on the bottom of which there is a metal screen MS installed additionally. The FE is fixed horizontally above the MS at the height h1. The pit volume between parallel planes of MS and FE is filled with soil with macroscopic parameters εr2 and σ2, and the pit volume between planes of the FE and the SCE interface with air is filled by soil with macroscopic parameters εr3 and σ3, besides, sections of coaxial cables are installed vertically between planes of FE and MS.
EFFECT: its higher efficiency and reduced impact of variations of macroscopic parameters of UA installation at its efficiency.
