FIELD: signal buoys. SUBSTANCE: signal buoy includes housing with signal system, device for securing the buoy to deck and cord for securing the buoy to rescue facility. Signal system is provided with supply batteries, signal unit and power saving unit made in form of sealed-contact reed relay mounted in power supply circuit and located in buoy housing, as well as magnet secured in buoy securing unit opposite sealed-contact reed relay. Buoy housing and buoy securing unit are splittably connected at clearance in area where magnet and sealed-contact reed are located. Check of power capacity is effected by power of radiated signal after introducing the magnetic screen into above-mentioned clearance. Magnetic screen is made in form of plate from magnetically-soft material. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of check of power capacity. 3 cl, 3 dwg
