FIELD: optical and magnetic recording equipment. SUBSTANCE: device for information transmission has converter of source information into serial information codes. Said information codes are produced by means of combination of binary codes of high and low levels. Maximal length of continuous sequence of binary codes of a single level is limited by T-max value, for example, by 14 T, where T is unit, which corresponds to one binary code. Minimal length of binary codes of single level in terms of information codes is limited by value T-min, for example, 3 T. Generator outputs synchronization code, which is generated by means of combination of binary codes of high and low levels. Synchronization code includes identifier, which includes continuous binary codes of single level, for example, high level with predefined length, 16 T, which is longer then T-max by 2 T. Inserting unit adds synchronization code in alteration with sequences of information codes. This results in possibility to produce synchronization code, which is different from any other information type and is stored as short signal.
