FIELD: power engineering; single-wire overhead power transmission lines. SUBSTANCE: cross-arm designed to secure phase conductors of single-wire overhead power transmission lines has three pin insulators with cylindrical metal end terminals mounted on metal base on pole top in vertical plane perpendicular to transmission-line axis; intermediate insulator is mounted vertically and two side ones are secured at certain angle to vertical; metal end terminals of each of mentioned insulators have annular grooves. Cross-arm has shoes split into two halves bolted together and provided with holes joined to insulator end terminals which serve to secure each insulator to metal base. Phase conductors are fastened to other ends of pin insulators through hairpin coils with pipes whose axes are aligned with those of pin insulators. Each hairpin coil is built integral with pipe using, for example, casting technique. Hairpin coils are reliably fastened to end terminals of insulators to prevent their spontaneous disconnection by means of additional bolts entering grooves of end terminals along tangential line and screwed in coil bodies. EFFECT: improved conductor-to-insulator fastening joint sustaining wind-induced dynamic displacements; increased long-time operating reliability. 2 cl, 8 dwg
