FIELD: welding sheets of steel, copper and aluminium at making tubes with lengthwise seam. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of feeding shield gas to welding zone from mouthpiece protruding into welding zone; before turning on electric current source of welding arc, igniting additional electric arc by means of additional electric current source in welding zone; after turning on welding power source igniting welding arc by means of additional welding arc; providing high frequency electric arc between mouthpiece and blank with the aid of generator forming high-frequency high-voltage electric current pulses in order to enhance ionization of welding zone and to provide reliable ignition of additional welding arc. EFFECT: enhanced quality of welded joint of tubes. 3 dwg
