FIELD: ferrous and non-ferrous metallurgy, namely ladles, converters and other heat aggregates with carrying metric housing. SUBSTANCE: refractory stone includes coupled protective and heat insulation portions shifted one relative to another in one or two mutually normal directions. Protrusion passes along the whole width of end surface of heat insulation portion turned to metallic housing of aggregate. Area of said protrusion consists 5-80% of the whole area of end surface of heat insulation portion. Lining of aggregate has reinforcing and working layers. Reinforcing layer is made of bricks. Working layer is made of refractory members having coupled main and additional parts shifted one relative to another in one or two mutually normal directions. EFFECT: reduced heat losses of lining, improved strength of reinforcing layer, increased useful life period, optimization of working temperature mode of lining. 3 cl, 3 dwg
