HOPPER CAR Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

FIELD: railway transport; hopper cars for transportation of alumina. SUBSTANCE: hopper car has three-section body 4 rigidly secured on load-bearing frame 2 provided with center sill and bolster closed at end faces by flooring on which brake equipment connected with brake system of bogies is mounted. Body roof has charging hatches 7 over hoppers furnished with discharge hatches. Body is provided also with hermetically sealed compartment with vertical load- bearing end face walls. Each chamber adjoining hopper compartment is furnished with non-sealed doors to let in truck loaders. EFFECT: simplified design, possibility of loading of aluminium alloy rolled stock by truck loaders. 3 dwg
