FIELD: industrial organic synthesis. SUBSTANCE: more particularly, invention relates to preparing n-butyl acrylate in an acid-catalyzed esterification process. Heavy addition products formed in the process are hydrolyzed, isolated, and returned into process as essential reactants. Along with hydrolytic recuperation process installation, cracking reactor is advantageously used to give additional amounts of essential reactants. Crude n-butyl acrylate is distilled in presence of water allowing n-butyl acrylate to be efficiently separated from acrylic acid.
