FIELD: organic chemistry, polymers, chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: invention describes method of synthesis of polymer in an aqueous system containing at least one monomer with low water solubility as polymeric links and involving the following stages: (a) preparing a complex of at least one monomer eliciting low water solubility with macromolecular organic compound having hydrophobic cavity by mixing in an aqueous medium of the above mentioned macromolecular compound having hydrophobic cavity with at least one the above mentioned monomer eliciting low water solubility that is used individually or in mixture with monomers showing high water solubility and (b) polymerization in an aqueous system from about 0.1 to about 100 weight % of indicated monomer (from total polymer weight), indicated complex-bound monomer eliciting low water solubility with about 99.9 weight % (from total polymer weight) at least one monomer showing high water solubility. Invention describes also copolymer synthesized by this method, complex and reaction mixture.
