FIELD: meteorology. SUBSTANCE: process is intended for use in complex of atmospheric surveillance measures for timely detection of sources polluting atmosphere which have current effluent of harmful substances unauthorized by norms. Software of system of atmospheric monitoring of city includes algorithm of solution of inverse problem of diffusion of polluting substances in air basin of city. Given algorithm ensures detection of locations of sources polluting atmosphere whose level of effluent of harmful substances exceeds level authorized by norm. Results of detection are used to conduct urgent test of these sources polluting atmosphere right at points of their locations. EFFECT: timely detection of sources polluting city atmosphere with level of effluent of harmful substances exceeding authorized norm thanks to expansion of functional and operational capabilities of system monitoring pollution of atmosphere. 1 cl
