FIELD: gas treatment. SUBSTANCE: sulfides, including hydrogen sulfide, carbonyl sulfide, and carbon disulfide, are removed from gas, such as natural gas, at high pressure. For that, gas is washed with aqueous wash liquid, which is further treated with sulfide-oxidation bacteria in presence of electron acceptor (in particular nitrate). The two operation are carried out in the same reactor. EFFECT: reduced investment and operation expenses. 9 cl, 1 dwg, 2 ex
