FIELD: manufacture of fittings; shutting-off flows of working media; gas, oil, chemical power and mining industries. SUBSTANCE: gate valve is provided with extensible stem and body with through hole, inlet and outlet branch pipes, seats and flat gate engaged with extensible stem through T-shaped slot; gate is provided with shut-off member, through hole and transversal grooves. Transversal grooves are located on either side of shut-off member at distance not exceeding contact width of seat from edge of through hole of gate. Threaded end of extensible stem is provided with adjustable travel limiter for engagement with locking ring in CLOSED position and with adjusting washer in OPEN position. EFFECT: enhanced reliability; complete shutting-off of through hole of gate valve working media. 1 dwg
