FIELD: combustion of fuel mixtures. SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes several stages where mixture of fuel and oxygen-containing gas is burnt in succession using definite catalysts and catalytic structures and final zone (not obligatory) of homogeneous combustion for obtaining burnt gas at selected temperature, preferably between 1050 and 1700 C. Two or three discrete catalytic stages may be provided depending on working pressure. Catalyst and definite structures including those which use integral heat exchange are rather stable due to their low temperature; they are wear-resistant. Temperature of exhaust gas is suitable for using it in gas turbine, steam boiler, etc. NOx content in exhaust gas is low. EFFECT: low content of NOx. 23 cl, 11 dwg
