FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention refers in particular to electrothermal power elements which can be used both as drives and as switching-on power elements. Proposed electrothermal power element has base 1 with heating element 7, mobile element 5 and working element coming in the form of bellows manufactured from material with reversible thermal memory of shape. Heating element 7 of tubular type with mobile rod 8 inside it is positioned in center of working element 3. Internal end of rod 8 is anchored in mobile element 5 and its opposite end is placed into plain bearing 9 and is kinematically coupled to limit switch 10. Shunting element 11 is provided in power element to change operational condition from automatic operation to manual operation. EFFECT: expanded application field thanks to provision for operation under any mode, increased tractive force and operational reliability. 3 dwg
