FIELD: apiculture. SUBSTANCE: method involves providing frequency filtering of reference analog signal and separating the most informative frequency range, for instance 100-600 Hz; discretizing the signal and selecting 3-5 short-time realizations of 0.5-1.0 s duration satisfying the requirement of minor deviation differences; on the basis of one of them, calculating energetic spectrum of realizations of discrete signal by acoustic noise emitted by fee family; dividing energetic spectrum into 10-12 frequency bands; calculating spectral density mean values for frequency bands and determining bee family state by comparative analysis of spectral density mean values of these frequency bands for diagnosed bee family state.
