METHOD OF DIAGNOSING AND PREPARING BURIED CARIES DAMAGE OF PROXIMAL SURFACES OF MALAR BELOW EQUATOR Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: stomatology. SUBSTANCE: first- class caries cavity is prepared on chewing surface of malar and buried second-class caries cavity is revealed on proximal surface of malar below equator, after which the latter is prepared in the form of tunnel preserving contact point of given tooth . Inside surface of prepared first- class caries cavity is covered with coloring fuchsin-based solution in propylene glycol. After exposition, solution is rinsed out and cavity is dried, whereupon non-completely prepared infected demineralized caries tissue is revealed by observing residual coloration. In case of at least twofold preparation of revealed residual coloration in one direction toward proximal surface of malar below its equator, preparation of cavity in the form of tunnel is continued passing into buried caries injury of proximal surface of malar below equator. As coloring fuchsin-based solution, caries marker with exposition time 5 to 15 sec is used. EFFECT: provided early diagnostics, increased accuracy, objectivity, rapidity, and safety in revealing buried caries injures. 3 cl, 4 dwg
