METHOD FOR DISSECTION OF CARIOUS CAVITY IN THE FISSURE REGION Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC A61C3/00

Abstract RU 2663386 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to dentistry, and is intended for use in treatment of fissure caries. Occlusal surface of the examined tooth is probed and in determining the area that prevents the probe from moving, demineralized tooth tissues are removed with a minimum size of dental drill with working part 3 of 2.5 mm in length with a rounded head equipped with passive occlusal limiter 2 in the form of a truncated cone with a height of 2.0–3.0 mm, diameter 6.0 mm, located between working surface 3 and shank 1. In the event that, with repeated probing, the area with demineralized tooth tissues is determined, additional processing with a large dental drill size is carried out. To form a rebate of a given configuration with an angle of 45°, dental drill with working part 5 made in the form of a truncated cone with a height of 2.0–3.0 mm and with an angle at the base of 45° is used, located between shank 4 and passive inner-root limiter 6 with a diameter of 0.33–1.2 mm, whose length is 0.2–0.3 mm smaller than the dental drill size provided with passive occlusal limiter 2 in form of a truncated cone.

EFFECT: method allows to carry out controlled sparing preparation of the carious cavity in the fissure region and to improve the accuracy of preparation of the hard tissues of the teeth.
