SUBSTANCE: machine for embossing and laminating includes first embossing cylinder having surface with first group of protrusions; second embossing cylinder having surface with second group of protrusions; first and second pressure rolls engaging with first and second embossing cylinders. Transmission between two cylinders allows slipping and phase difference between rotating cylinders in order to provide uniform wear of protrusions. Method for embossing and laminating double-layer strip material when two cylinders are not hold in the same phase one relative to another allows simplified simultaneous application of coating onto large number of articles.
