FIELD: space engineering including temperature-control systems of space vehicles. SUBSTANCE: desired coolant flowrate and current consumed by motor- pump unit are determined. At least three standard impellers are manufactured prior to assembling the unit. Coolant flowrate afforded by motor-pump unit and current consumed are measured for unit running with each of these impellers. Prior to joining pump housing and motor frame, impeller mounted on motor shaft is chosen out of three ones according to coolant flowrate which should not be lower than specified value. Selected impeller should ensure utmost flowrate-to-current ratio. EFFECT: improved workmanship, reduced manufacturing cost. 2 cl, 3 dwg
