FIELD: space engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to sealed electronic pumping units for spacecraft temperature control system. Proposed electric pumping unit has pump housing and electric motor housing made of aluminium alloy and hermetically welded together, and stator and rotor of electric motor. Rotor is installed on antifriction bearings and hermetically separated from stator by means of nonmagnetic screen sleeve and is checked by rotor position sensor. Housing of electric motor is connected with screen sleeve by means of laminated bimetallic bushing made of titanium and aluminium alloys, titanium part being welded to screen sleeve and aluminium part, to electric motor.
EFFECT: increased service life of electric pumping unit owing to provision of absolute tightness of its housing, increased efficiency and reduced mass owing to decrease of distance between stator and rotor as a result of reduction of thickness of wall of screen sleeve.
