METHOD OF MANUFACTURING SILICATE BRICK AND RAW MIX FOR THEREOF Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: manufacture of silicate brick, more particularly silicate brick for construction engineering and industrial engineering. SUBSTANCE: method comprises manufacturing lime-silicic binder by grinding carbide lime resulting from acetylene and sand production waste and raw mix, molding sun-dried clay brick and subjecting it to hydrothermal treatment in autoclave. Said lime containing 60-65 % of active lime and sand with grain modulus of 1.70-1.12 and moisture content of 0.5-0.8% is subjected to dry grinding to specific surface of binder of 4000-5000 sq.cm/g at said lime to sand ratio of 1.2-2.0: 1.0. Prior to grinding operation, said lime is slightly dried, and sand is further dried in drying by taking desired amount thereof to attain 1-2 % of moisture content of sand. Raw mix is prepared by mixing said binder with sand having moisture content of 1.5-2% under careful stirring, and sun-dried clay brick is molded at moisture content of mix of 5.5-6.5, temperature of 50-60 C and pressing pressure of 20.0-250 MPa.
