FIELD: building industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to producing building materials and designated for using in making silicate brick. Method for making silicate brick involves preparing a binding agent by treatment of carbide lime or its mixture with sand, preparing raw mixture by mixing prepared binding agent with sand with value of open pit moisture in simultaneous heating, the following molding the raw material and its treatment in autoclave and using carbide lime with the content of active CaO and MgO 60-70% and sand with value of open pit with modulus size 0.7-1.1. Treatment of indicated carbide lime is carried out up to specific surface value 9000-10000 cm²/g and its mixture with sand up to specific surface 4500-6000 cm²/g in simultaneous heating to 70-80 C in their following ratio, wt.-%: indicated binding agent, 11-22; indicated sand, 78-89. Also, molding the raw material is carried out in humidity mixture value 6.0-8.5%, at temperature 50-60 C and under press pressure 20-25 MPa. Invention provides enhancing strength of silicate brick, its resistance to cold and simplifying process for its making.
