FIELD: transport engineering; internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: proposed engine has base frame on which differential mechanism converting reciprocation of pistons into rotation of output shaft is installed, and also reversible electric machines whose inductors are rigidly mounted on engine base frame. Armatures of electric machines are rigidly connected with central gears of differential. Cylinder blocks are installed diametrically and symmetrically on carrier of differential mechanism. Piston system of cylinder blocks is mechanically coupled with both planet pinions of differential mechanism, brackets are rigidly mounted on carrier, and rods of each pair of pistons are coupled with stops found on both planet pinions through hinge joints. Main fuel tank is connected with fuel-preparation unit and working cylinder by hollow output shaft through carrier. Fuel-preparation unit takes in fuel and air and mixes fuel with air for delivering into working cylinder. Cyclic operation control unit coupled with fuel preparation unit is introduced into engine.
