Abstract RU 2013629 C1

FIELD: automotive engineering. SUBSTANCE: engine has compressor with inlet, external combustion chamber connected with compressor through first by-pass having fuel spray nozzle and ignition source disengageable during operation, expander with inlet communicating with combustion chamber through second by-pass, and working members located in compressor and expander and operatively connected to output shaft. Compressor, combustion chamber, and expander have separate cooling systems, whereas combustion chamber and expander have a volume exceeding the volume of the compressor. Operative connection of working members with output shaft is fashioned as a planetary mechanism with two bevel pinions, two satellite gears, and carrier with toothing. The working member of the compressor is connected to one of the bevel pinions, output shaft is connected to another bevel pinion, and working member of the expander is connected to the toothing of the carrier. Each working member can be fashioned as at least one pair of blades. EFFECT: improved design, enhanced efficiency. 11 dwg
