FIELD: transport engineering; railway track maintenance tools. SUBSTANCE: device has support plate, hydraulic cylinder, reservoir, handle safety, bypass, intake and check valves, plunger housing and plunger, rocker and detachable handle and, additionally, universal claw with ram. The latter has two holes: larger vertical hole and smaller horizontal hole. Claw is fitted through its larger hole onto outer surface of hydraulic cylinder, and ram of locking device is fitted in smaller hole. Axes of holes crossing at right angle are located at a distance each other to make outer cylindrical surfaces of hydraulic cylinder and ram intersect through some depth. Radius cutout is provided on raw which can turn through 180 deg. around its. Axis. Radius of cutout coincides with radius of outer cylindrical surface of hydraulic cylinder provided with grooves at one or two sides spaced at definite pitch relative to each other corresponding to several fixed positions of claw.
