TECHNIQUE OF GAS HYDRODYNAMIC INVESTIGATION OF WELLS Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: oil and gas industry. SUBSTANCE: technique includes shut-down of well operating under steady-state mode with known characteristics, recording of pressure in it and processing of obtained curve of pressure recovery. After shut-down of well pressure is measured and recorded with specified time interval and in time intervals following one another which are preset by quoted mathematical expression. Then mean value of pressure is calculated and recorded. After it difference relation is found by given formula and on its stabilization section of curve of pressure recovery with linear dependence of the square of face pressure on time logarithm is allocated to determine filtration capacitive parameters of porous medium. Number of measurements in time intervals intended for calculation of mean value of pressure is chosen by given condition to provide for preset accuracy of results.
