FIELD: oil and gas production. SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for determining water permeability of productive formation. When developing productive formation, formation fluid is injected into formation and simultaneously of fluid pressure and fluid intake in the well head are measured. Measurement data are mathematically treated to evaluate water permeability of productive formation. In well head, pulse unsteady formation fluid injection process is created. For pulse unsteady reagent injection conditions, summary reagent intake and repression function derivative, characterizing work spent on nonsteady flow of unit reagent intake in the bottom zone, are evaluated. For water permeability range certainly including searched water permeability value, graph of repression function derivative versus summary fluid intake is plotted. From multiple curves thus obtained, the curve at most meeting derivative constancy condition, which corresponds to searched water permeability of formation, is selected. EFFECT: increased accuracy of estimating water permeability of productive formation. 1 dwg
