FIELD: eddy-current flaw detection of conductive materials of complex shape. SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for usage in automated line of nondestructive test of cylindrical articles. According to invention test zones of converters placed on bushing pipe are located in one plane perpendicular to direction of movement of tested article. In this case each of n converters tests part of cylindrical article corresponding to sector 360 degrees/n and whole unit tests entire surface of tested article. EFFECT: enhanced authenticity of test as functioning of unit does not cause edge effect. 2 dwg
