FIELD: nondestructive inspection of pipes and rolled products. SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for nondestructive testing of pipes and rolled products on production line or at incoming control of engineering plants, pipe control shops of oil and gas companies. Eddy-current flow-type converter is provided with m pairs of measurement windings connected differentially and put on bushing, (m-2) windings of laid-on type are wound on longitudinal ferrite cores and are arranged in pairs of double longitudinal slots with distance d between slots and angular shift of 360/(m-2) between double pairs. Two other differential pairs of measurement windings of through type are dropped in round slots, coaxially with slots of windings of immobile coil, (m-2) pairs of windings of laid-on type are interconnected and are connected to one of pairs of through windings. Second pair of through windings is connected directly to resistor load. EFFECT: enhanced sensitivity and authenticity of test. 3 dwg
