UNIT OF HUNT EDDY-CURRENT CONVERTERS FOR FLOW TEST OF PIPES AND ROLLED STOCK Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: nondestructive inspection of pipes and rolled stock. SUBSTANCE: unit includes frame, solenoid coil with magnetic circuit for longitudinal magnetization of pipe, detachable hunt eddy-current converter with one excitation and measurement windings connected differentially. Unit of converters is provided with two modules: one measurement incorporating nonmagnetic tube of hunt eddy-current converter placed inside it and two ferromagnetic bushings screwed to tube and one transfer comprising two nonmagnetic tubes placed one inside another and fastened together by means of ferromagnetic flanges with the aid of screws. Unit of converters is also equipped with swing locking strap and rotary rest. Transfer module is installed inside solenoid and fixed by swing locking strap, measurement module is placed inside transfer module and is anchored by means of rotary locking rest.
