FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: method involves, upon harvesting of preceding crop in autumn, applying organic and mineral fertilizers into soil with carbon (C) and nitrogen (N) ratio exceeding 32:1; applying fertilizer with C:N <32:1.0 in spring, when temperature of plow layer of soil exceeds 5 C. Specific C: N ratio is determined depending upon soil and climatic conditions and kind of farm crop, as well as upon duration of time interval between fertilizer application date and date of reduction of soil plow layer temperature to 5 C in autumn, as well as between date of applying fertilizer and date of optimum time of farm crop sowing in spring. EFFECT: reduced damage to environment and increased efficiency in utilizing fertilizer.
