FIELD: transport; ropeways. SUBSTANCE: proposed safety control system includes pickups placed in communication with base station and, preferably, with base station computer. In case of rope deflection from rope haulage normal line, deflection pickup generates alarm signal. Vibration pickup on each pulley detects vibrations specific for violation of integrity of pulley unit and generates vibration alarm signal. Each pickup is provided with radio transmitter to transmit signals to radio receiver on ropeway tower supports. Interfaces local for groups of pickups relay signals to base station computer for information of ropeway operator. To provide noise immunity, ratio transmitters and radio receivers should be preferably operated in expanded spectrum of frequencies. Interfaces and base computer provide communication through common data communications network. Other types of pickups and codes for identification of ropeway system operation aspects can be used.
