FIELD: transportation.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to cable transport plant. Rope transport plant (1) comprises rope (2) supported by several pulleys (5) of several supports (4). At least one support (4) is equipped with at least one optical safety device (6), which determines the first and second states, which enable or prevent passage of the optical signal. Detection device (7, 8) is configured to detect rope (2) coming off one of pulleys (5). Detection device passes the signal through optical fuses (6) in order to observe their state. Optical safety devices (6) are configured to change the state between the first state and the second state when at least one optical safety device (6) comes into contact with rope (2) or with one of its supporting parts. Detection device issues an alarm notification in response to detection of a change in the state of one of optical fuses (6). Each optical safety device (6) contains optical fibre. Invention also relates to a method of detecting an event on a rope and to a method of producing a rope transport installation.

EFFECT: as a result, a rope transport installation is created, which provides the possibility of quick detection of an event on a rope, for example, a rope coming off, an idle pulley or a blocked pulley, which makes it easier to determine which support is associated with this incident.
