SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a ropeway operation method and to a corresponding ropeway. According to invention deviation of vehicle (4) before entry to station is measured by sensor (12) and transmitted to cableway control unit (8), wherein simultaneously cableway control unit (8) detects occurrence of fluke (B) of wind before entrance to station (9), wherein ropeway control unit (8) controls ropeway drive (7) depending on transmitted deflection (α) and detected fluke (B) of wind.

EFFECT: as a result, it is possible to more reliably estimate and respond to potential danger when the ropeway vehicle enters the ropeway station.
