FIELD: measurement technology; thermoelectric and resistance transducers for measuring temperature of liquids and gases in explosive indoor or outdoor atmospheres. SUBSTANCE: contact head has box beveled on top at certain angle to axis of cylinder which accommodates cover and gasket; cylinder with hole to receive measuring members is placed at its bottom and cable entry hole is located on long generatrix side of box at angle of 7 to 15 deg. to its axis; placed in this hole is sealing ring with washer tightly fitted therein by means of driven-in union and locknut; in addition, it has locking device with guard depression located on short generatrix side of truncated elliptical cylinder between two bosses of cylindrical surface on axis in boss holes; on one end it has locking projection with slot and on the other there is lock; cable fastening device is placed in rear part of union; box is made in the form of elliptical cylinder whose longer axis dictates bevel circumference carrying cylindrical part to receive cover.
