FIELD: transport engineering; materials handling; boom turning mechanisms of reversible articulated manipulators. SUBSTANCE: post has housing with hollow cylindrical support made of high-strength thin-sheet steel C-shaped section with variable in height cross section decreasing in upper direction and closed to form box by welded-to rear wall. Support is made of medium-carbon casting steel and is welded to housing through spacer manufactured of the same metal. Thickness of lower weld at place of spacer and support mating is greater the number of folds than that of upper weld strength characteristics of support material are lower than those of housing material. Side walls at place of welding-in of bearing bushings of boom fastening units and boom lifting and lowering hydraulic cylinder are reinforced by welded-to stiffening members.
