FIELD: reprocessing, preservation and storage of natural raw material. SUBSTANCE: method involves cutting off velvet antlers; freezing and storing cut velvet antlers in frozen state; drying in vacuumizer. Velvet antlers are frozen and stored together with skin in thermostat in liquid nitrogen medium. Prior to drying, frozen velvet antlers are ground to particles of size not in the excess of 500 micron. Ground and frozen material is dried in vacuumizer under pressure interval of 0.1-10.0 mm of mercury column at temperature of from -60 C to +30 C to residual humidity of less than 5 wt %. Upon drying, material is additionally ground to powder state. After cutting off of velvet antlers, in the process of accumulation prior to freezing, wax or paraffin film is applied to cut portion of each velvet antler by dipping velvet antler ends first into molten wax or paraffin, with following dipping into cold water. Drying of ground and frozen material in vacuumizer is conducted at periodically created pulsed pressure with pulsation frequency of at least 1 Hz and pressure oscillation amplitude of at least 0.5 mm of mercury column. EFFECT: reduced loss of biological activity of substances during reprocessing and preservation and reduced drying time. 5 cl, 1 tbl, 3 ex
